Just out the cutting room a little surprise

Postby Stuart Wheeler » Sat Aug 29, 2009 1:18 pm

Hi ,

Thought i would post an interesting stone that was cut from a peice of rough that i left to one side as i thought there was not a lot going on with. Just proves that you should spend just as much time with each rough stone as any. Ended up 11 carats on a N5 base. Rough was from Opal Ridge. Not sure where to price her yet or keep her for the retirement collection.

If the Blarney Stone were to fall and break, they'd be left with Blarney rubble.

It's all to do with the alignment of them thar little silicon bubbles as I call them. Wonder how they decide what colour they're gonna be to start with? :?
