Need a triplett cutter

Hello all,

I'm pretty new around the opal world, I've been making my way around to various gems and now I've made it to opals. A few hours away in Spencer Idaho they mine opals, but typically only of triplett quality. I went up there a couple of weekends ago and mined a bunch of my own opal, and I need someone to cut it for me. The thing is I have no idea what is cuttable and what is junk, and I have no idea who to send it to. I have lots of contacts for faceting stones, but no one I know does tripletts. Is there anyone here that could do them, or guide me in the right direction?

Hi Stewart, and welcome to the forum! I can't help you since I'm not a cutter, but I have an affinity for the Spencer material ever since Chuck (starbird) sent me this beauty that was collected decades ago. WOOHOO!
